Demonstrate a net monthly income of at least €3,480 from remote work, freelancing, or self-employment outside Portugal. The requirement increases for dependents—about 50% more for a spouse and 30% per child.
Provide an employment contract, freelance agreements, or proof of company ownership showing your work is performed entirely online for clients or employers based outside Portugal
Obtain private travel and health insurance covering all medical expenses in Portugal for yourself and any dependents for the full length of your visa or residence permit.
Submit a police clearance certificate from your country of residence (and any country lived in during the last 5 years), issued within the last 90 days, apostilled or legalised, and translated into Portuguese.
