Right route to Barcelona

Very professional. Roots and the team around Maria made our move to Barcelona a breeze. We thought we needed to go the digital nomad visa route but they advised us taking the NLV pathway. Really lovely team and very knowledgeable. 10/10 experience.

They didn't vanish after the visa

Moving abroad isn't just about visas it's about settling in and feeling at home. The team at Roots Global really understands that. They got my partner and me through the Spanish residency visa process smoothly, but what impressed us most was what came after. Once we arrived in Spain, they didn't just vanish. Our consultant checked in to see if we needed any help getting our kids enrolled in school. I've heard of services that get you the visa and then say "adios," but with Roots it felt like they were invested in our whole transition. We're so grateful we chose a company that goes the extra mile. It made our new chapter in Spain feel so much more welcoming and supported.

Retirement on the Costa del Sol

Retiring abroad was our dream, but the red tape wasn't. Luckily, this team turned our Spain retirement plan into reality without the usual headaches. We're in our 60s and don't speak Spanish, yet every step, from visa applications to opening a local bank account, was handled with care and clarity. They answered even our silliest questions kindly and never made us feel out of place. Now we're enjoying our golden years on the Costa del Sol. Choosing this service was the best decision we made for our retirement. Thank you SO SO much.

Friend on the inside

My husband and I (we're a same-sex couple) moved from San Francisco to Madrid, and we couldn't be happier with how supportive the team was. We were anxious about the nomad visa process and starting fresh in a new country, but our case manager was an absolute gem. She navigated Spain's bureaucracy like a pro and even reassured us during our freak-outs (lol). It felt like having a friend on the inside. Now we're building a new life in a country that embraces us, all thanks to their hard work.

Realistic timeframes

Spain Digital Nomad Visa, Madrid from Boston. I liked that Roots Global gave realistic timeframes instead of pretending everything would be "done in 3 weeks." It made the wait easier when I knew what was actually normal.

Handled while I was traveling

Roots and the team thank you, these guys are legit. I work in tech and hate paperwork with a passion. They handled the whole Spain digital nomad while I was traveling. Barely lifted a finger, just had to take care of getting the docs they needed. Realistic timeframes.

Honest across countries

I wanted a backup residency option outside the US, and the consultation covered not only Portugal but alternative routes in Spain and Greece too. Very comprehensive and surprisingly honest about pros and cons.

FAQ

Spain Non Lucrative Visa FAQs

How does your pricing work, and are there any hidden fees?

We offer fixed-price Non-Lucrative Visa packages starting from €2,495, so you always know exactly what you’re paying. No hourly billing, no surprise add-ons, and our fee is backed by a money-back guarantee if your visa isn’t approved.

What are the 2026 income requirements for the Spain Non-Lucrative Visa?

As of 2026, the NLV requires €2,400 per month (€28,800 per year) in passive income or equivalent savings, plus €600 per month (€7,200 per year) for each dependent. We help you document pension, rental, or dividend income so it cleanly meets the consulate’s thresholds.

Will my Non-Lucrative Visa case be handled by a real lawyer?

Yes. Every NLV applicant is assigned a dedicated in-house immigration lawyer. You’ll receive expert legal guidance and timely support throughout your entire process.

Where is your Spain legal team located?

Your Non-Lucrative Visa application is handled by our in-house legal team in Barcelona. With local knowledge and real-time awareness of consulate requirements worldwide, nothing gets missed and nothing gets delayed.

Should I apply for the Non-Lucrative Visa or the Digital Nomad Visa?

If your income is fully passive (pension, dividends, rental income, or savings), the NLV is the right route. If you plan to continue working remotely, the Digital Nomad Visa is the only legal option, since the NLV strictly prohibits any work. In your free consultation, we’ll analyse your situation so you don’t apply under the wrong category.

Do you support family relocations on the Non-Lucrative Visa?

Yes, we regularly help NLV applicants bring spouses, children, and dependent parents to Spain. The visa requires an additional €7,200 per year for each dependent, and we ensure your application is structured to meet the 2026 thresholds in full compliance with consulate rules.
